Have you noticed how your kids know all there is to know about computers and the Internet? Or have you wanted to write to a TV or radio programme and all they give you is the WWW address.

Citizens Online is a national charity that fights for all citizens to be given access to computers and the Internet, should they want it.   In partnership with BT, Citizens Online will shortly be bringing an exciting new project to Audley and Bignall End, working with the community using local facilities and working with local people.

The project entitled "Everybody Online" will be available to everyone in the area.   Our number one objective is to invite and introduce the community of Audley and Bignall End to computers and the Internet.

"Everybody Online" is not about technology it’s about the community working together.   It’s aimed at everyday people who want to improve their everyday life, whether it is in a tiny way or a completely life-changing way.

Based at the Wood Lane Community Centre, the project is overseen by a full-time project officer, Sarah Bonam.   Sarah is tasked with finding out what resources are available in the community and partnering these with the needs of the citizens of Audley and Bignall End.

So if you are frightened of the Internet or think you are too old to learn about computers.  If you want to help your kids with their homework, learn new skills to help you with future employment, contact your local councillor, or just e-mail your relatives in Australia.   Keep a look out for further information and together we can connect the community of Audley and Bignall End.
