LEVER COUNTER for Cricket Umpires
For many years, Acumen has been offering occasional batches of the traditional metal 6-lever counter, much loved by many experienced umpires.
Unfortunately these were very expensive (£50-£60) as each was hand-crafted.
Now, with some assistance from ERDF subsidies (West Midlands Technology Network, involving advice from Jewellery School and Warwick Manufacturing Dept), also Advantage West Midlands (the local RDA), Aston University's Index Voucher Scheme funding Wolverhampton's IPDCentre, we have been able to obtain a good design for a nylon counter which can be moulded in modest quantities for less than half the cost of the metal ones.

With the fully adjustable Velcro band, it can be worn on the wrist
Or, better still strap round two fingers in your palm alongide the small tally counter for runs – leaving the other hand completely free
In the unlikely event that we can find a sponsor for the wrist band, then we could mass produce more cheaply and provide one for every umpire worldwide!
