Dear Staffordshire Scorer

Not a great deal new this week.

When entering the names of both scorers and umpires on Play-Cricket.  Do NOT use the ADD facility unless you are absolutely certain that the correct name does not already exist in the drop down list – in alphabetic sequence of surname.  Almost every umpire and scorer has been registered at least once and a new entry will create an unnecessary duplicate.

COVID:  Please do NOT have two people in the scorebox, unless from same household/bubble.  2 metres and masks provide very little protection for 5 hours in an enclosed space - think about cigarette smoke.  If both scorers use PCS Pro, then one should use "Support Scorer" option as this will enable electronic checks at end of over.

If using DLS and the match is prematurely terminated by rain, remember to enter this final "Revised Overs" as this will then complete the match with correct target (by the difference in runs between the revised par and the actual score for Team 2.  You can find more on DLS at https://tinyurl.com/SACO-PCSPro
